Bring Back Integrity to the Alum Rock School District Board
Vote Linda Chavez for Board Trustee on Nov. 6th
As a 38-year resident of Alum Rock Union School District with four grown children who graduated from Linda Vista and Joseph George, I am grieved at the mismanagement of our district. The final straw was the June 21, 2018, Civil Grand Jury of Santa Clara County Report that called for the resignation of three of the five members of the Alum Rock Union School District Board of Trustees. Funds that should have been managed to improve the learning environment for the 10,000 children of our district were wasted. (Click here to read the 24-page Civil Grand Jury report.)
November 6th, you have an opportunity to bring integrity to the Alum Rock School Board by electing me as trustee. As a parent, I volunteered in the classroom at Linda Vista School. Thankful that my four children were able to graduate from college, I served on the American GI Forum Scholarship Board for 5 years to help other children in the district continue their education. Attending the Latino Education and Advocacy Days at Cal State San Bernardino is just one of the ways I have continued to be concerned about improving educational opportunities for Latinos. As a business owner in our community for 35 years, I will bring the knowledge and integrity currently lacking on the Alum Rock Board of Trustees. Now retired, I can focus my passion and energy on putting the education of our children first!
